New Xanga

OK, so it's a time for new beginnings, I guess.  My poor Xanga under paintmom13 has officially died.  I added the Chronicles layout, but in the process, lost the ability to do many things within my Xanga.

Of course, I couldn't create a new Xanga with my current name, and so decided to start with a totally different name.  Same me, new name!

It's sad to lose my paintmom name, but maybe God has a reason for a new name, huh?  A new year approaching, with a new start.  I wonder where the ride will take me!

Blessings to all, and come to my new site:

New fun!

Just changed my background and am testing it. I looked all over for something fun and found this layout!  What do you think?

I love the Chronicles because they are such a sweet allegory showing what Jesus has done for us, and why.  These books were favorites of mine since I was a child, but back then, I didn't understand the deeper meaning.

Today, as we relax, or get back to our workplace, or clean up the house, let us not forget the sinless offering given for us for our redemption.  And rejoice in His life that He gives us to enable us to carry out what He has called us to do.

Without Him, we would truly be nothing!

Note;  Hmmm... text changes made in the edit mode do not carry over into the actual weblog.  Wish I knew how to fix that!

Oh, woe is me!  I have now lost all of my little links, like Look & Feel, subscriptions, etc.!  Help!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all!

I have the morning "off" while Shell and Micah make waffles, our annual Christmas morning tradition.  Pancakes  I'm folding launday, and they think I'm crazy for being on the computer on Christmas, but it sure makes the folding more fun! :)  Launderer

Christmas Lights Things are perking up here, and it should be a great morning! Christmas Lights

May each of you remember the reason why we celebrate today.  As I read on one Xanga site, the reason is really us, because we are the ones in need of a Redeemer!!!!  He is the reason for season, but He came for us.  How awesome!

That was my day yesterday.

A productive day that I was pleased with.

Has anyone seen the new calligraphy/illuminated book of the Psalms, The Psalms of David, by James S. Freemantle?  He illustrated it for his wife, and it was his lifework.  I've only seen the cover and a couple of inside pages, but it sure looks cool. That is on my Christmas wish list!  Consider these words from the Psalmist: Bible 2

"O Lord, You have searched me and known  me.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up.

You understand my thought from afar.

You scrutinize my path and my lying down.

And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

Even before there is a word on my tongue,

Behold, O Lord, You know it all.

You have enclosed me behind and before,

And laid Your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me!

It is too high, I cannot attain it."

Psalm 139:1 - 6

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

OK, I lost my post, so I'm wondering if God has something different for me to say, or what...

Anyway, I'll try to repeat it for now, and see what happens.

It's a beautiful Saturday morning and I'm wondering what the day will bring. Sunny

Tomorrow evening is our Christmas program at church, and half our family is frantically trying to get ready, and the other half is just wondering what to do. ROTFL Seriously, I was wondering if any of you have ideas at to what a group of 7 or 8 grade schoolers could do, that lasts about 5 - 10 minutes....songs, skits, acting out, etc. with little or no practice.  Any suggestions would be really welcome!

Again, I have been reminded that when I am willing to give over my fears, my disappointments, my worries, that He is truly sufficient for the tasks as hand.  I just can't figure out why sometimes it takes me so long to get it!  I have fretted all week about something happening today, and only this morning have I really been able to let go of it.  I'm just so dumb sometimes!  I'm sure glad that God loves even dummies like me~!

Here's a psalm for the day.  I might have posted this before, but it came to mind as I was worrying, and it is one of my favorite psalms!

Psalm 121

"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains,

From where shall my help come?

My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to slip;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel

Will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper,

The Lord is your shade on your right hand.

The sun will not smite you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

The Lord will protect you from all evil.

He will keep your soul.

The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in,

From this time forth and forever."

Now to put the coffee on and enjoy the day!  Thank you, Lord!

Paint Pallet I think some painting might be just the thing as well! Paint Pallet

Violin Maybe some violin if my family can stand it.... Violin
